Muslim TV programmes/movies/channels – Idea 4: Ahlulbayt TV Children’s Hour

For slightly older children, and with slightly longer attention spans, the Ahlulbayt TV’s Children’s Hour is one to watch.

From what I can see, it started off as a little more child-based with puppets and pirates, but after 4 episodes it has moved more of a talk show style. There are still puppet shows, stories and poetry, quizzes and cartoons within…

They extensively cover Muharram, as well as Ramadhan and special occasions such as the birth of Imam Mahdi (aj).

Women’s View: Buzz Ideazz

About a month ago, I shared a talk I had done on ABTV about Parenting by Connection. Alhamdulillah, at that time I also had the opportunity to do another segment about the Children’s Islamic Library and Buzz Ideazz – what they are all about and how it all started…:)

Parenting by Connection

For all those who have joined us recently and may not be aware, I am also a Parenting by Connection instructor and have a separate page for parenting posts on: Parenting by Connection with Shaheen Merali

Alhamdulillah, I recently had the opportunity to give an introduction to Parenting by Connection on Woman’s View, and in particular, how I feel that it fits in SO perfectly to Islam and our beliefs.

We talk about what children are trying to tell us through their behaviour, and certain tools we can use to really fill their needs for love and connection. In particular, we talk about crying, the science behind it, and how our religion is so ahead of time :).

I hope it is useful, Inshallah!
