Hajj Idea 8 – Have an Eid Party!

Idea Number 8:

Have a Party!! Small party or big party, Eid is as good a reason as anything to have a little celebration isn’t it? Even if it’s just the family 🙂

Hajj Idea 7 – Random Act of Kindness

Hajj Idea 7 – Random Act of Kindness

Inspired by the videos below (must watch!), do a random act of kindness on Eid day! Tie a balloon on someone’s door, pay for the next person’s coffee, leave a smiley picture for the next customer at the shops… And why not anonymously leave an Eid card for your recipient as well, to let them know your act was inspired by Eid?!

Hajj Idea 4 – Good Books on Hajj

Hajj Idea 4 – Good Books on Hajj

Read some good BOOKS on Eid-ul-Adha!

I’m not talking about the common textbook – there are some awesome Eid picture books and stories out there, which can be a perfect accompaniment to a presentation, or just for your bedtime story and cuddle with your little one.

Check out some of the titles below:

  • The Best Eid Ever by Asma Mobin Uddin
  • Peg and Cat – The Eid Al-Adha Adventure by Jennifer Oxley
  • Going to Mecca by Na’ima B. Robert
  • Little Batul’s Eid Celebration: the Most Pleasant Festival of Sacrifice by Munise Ulker
  • Yippee! It’s Eid-UL-Adha by Farjana Khan

Hajj Idea 3 – Make a Kaaba

MAKE A KAABA! Grab a box, some black paint or paper, and get creating! (Check out the link for an idea on how to do this.)

This can be a perfect tool for teaching them the difference between this Eid and Eid-ul-Fitr, going through visually the steps of Hajj, or just as a decoration in the living room :).

There are many tutorials on the internet if you’re stuck – just have a look and then get going!

Hajj Idea 2 – Give out Eid cards to the class and staff

Hajj Idea 2 – Give out Eid cards to the class and staff

Whether you’re going in or not to give a talk, let your child GIVE OUT EID CARDS to the class! The Buzz Kidzz Cardzz were especially created for this – to give Muslim children an alternative to the Christmas cards that are exchanged every year.

Small, funky and colourful, the Kidzz Cardzz come in packs of 10 – check them out here.

And don’t forget the staff! This year, instead of giving teachers a present at Christmas like everyone else, why not give them something at Eid instead? The receptionists/caretaker/head often get forgotten too…why not grab a box of chocolates and give it to them this Eid?

Small gestures like these go a long way in building good relationships with the people who are taking care of your children 🙂 Our range of contemporary Cardzz are perfect to accompany any gifts/chocolates you decide to give, or even just on their own!
